Coretalents
-
The Coretalents was born out of matching engineering talent with the best position and has evolved into a generalized process with more than 60,000 participants. Coretalents is a scientifically grounded methods that provides a one-time, in-depth mapping of your Coretalents constellation that provides a reliable, lifelong compass for navigating your life and making positive choices. Unlike other methods or approaches that expire, change, or seem unstable, Coretalents is done once. Only a certified Coretalents Analyst can provide the accuracy and support needed for this, and the result is 6-8 hours of work together providing an personally-tailored instrument that can ground all your future coaching and support.
So far the Coretalents analysts have had a profound impact on Belgian and Dutch populations. I was the first native English speaker certified as an analyst, and I am very excited for the opportunities this may bring to new groups and people.

What we traditionally label ‘talent’ focuses on your skill, often framed around what you have achieved. In contrast, Coretalents focus on three aspects:
Your nature - who you are, your character, and personality traits
Your potential - what you could be (with sufficient intellectual and physical capabilities, practice, and training)
Your motivations - what you (really) want
-
Coretalents point to what gives you energy when you act from your authentic self. A focus on what gives (and takes) energy shifts the mindset and language we use away from what you “do well” or what others think would be good for you. Instead, the focus is on aspects of tasks and life that give you energy helping you create a life that is fulfilling and sustainable. Each Coretalents profile is unique and personal, similar to a finger print.
The process creates a forward-looking, personalized framework ideal to help with decision-making, personal growth, and professional development. In addition, understanding your Coretalents can help you prevent burnout and is approved for reintegration planning (after a burnout leave) by the UWV (in the NL) and RIZIV (in BE).

I anchor my coaching with the Coretalents method because it is simultaneously deeply personal and structured. It also helps to cut through the more generic and generalized coaching sessions that can like busy work. This is not a short cut. It is work, but it is very meaningful work that results in getting to what is energizing and sustainable for you.
Importantly, this is the only method supported by MENSA for work with gifted persons and I have found it very effective with other neurotypes such as ADHD, Autism, and the complexities of these when they are combined (twice/thrice exceptional). Particularly for those identified as an adult, having a structured and grounded approach can help support learning about yourself, integrating new knowledge, and managing different aspects of your life.
